THE COLORADO RIVER
The Colorado River is in Ned’s opinion “The Greatest River in the World”. This is the perfect definition of a western Freestone River. Opportunities abound on every section of the Colorado to test your skills. Whether it is dry fly fishing, nymphing, or streamer fishing. The upper Colorado offers an abundance of Hatches throughout the year.
There is an abundance of wading access on the Colorado East of Kremmling on accesses such as Lone Buck, Breeze and Sunset. Each of these accesses provides an abundance of water to wade with ample space between fisherman.
The Colorado west of Kremmling also has plenty of available public access, but is better fished off a boat. If you do have the opportunity to float this section there are many areas that rarely see fisherman because the river is too difficult to cross or is cut off from public lands by cliffs or private land.
